We recently returned to Juan’s Place over the Christmas Holiday. The food was authentic Mexican comfort, enhanced by a pitcher of margaritas, beer and the friendly wait staff. Keep an eye out for their specials which change daily.

When my partner suggested this place, we two made the drive from Oakland (with a friend of his). I could have fainted from gratitude. The chips and salsas were perfect. The service was brilliant. And my burrito made me wish, for a second, that I lived on the left coast.
Nice "Daily" Type Mexican Food

Juan’s is one of those great family-owned restaurants that has been around for a million years and is still owned and operated by the same family. The food is good – not “rich” like a “special event” type Mexican restaurant, but hearty stuff that you can eat every day (very authentic). My favorite item here is the guacamole tostadas, loaded with stuff and surprisingly not offered in most other Mexican restaurants

When we come from Los Angeles to visit my family, they always take us to Juan’s for lunch or dinner. I like the ambiance and the fact that it’s a mom & pop establishment that has been around for years. The staff is very friendly and accommodating to our large group. I only go once a year and during my second visit, the staff remembered me! I love the crab enchiladas and the garlic shrimp. My husband likes the giant burritos they serve. The food is flavorful and delicious, it is not bland and tasteless. Plus their homemade flour tortilla chips and guacamole are to die for! They don’t skimp on the portions (you will leave full with a doggie bag). I look forward to visiting Juan’s Place every year!
